10 facts About Telenor Pakistan

Telenor is a Norwegian multinational telecommunication company with its headquarter located at Fornebu in Bærum, close to Oslo. It is one of the world's largest mobile telecommunication companies with operations in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Asia. Below are some facts about Telenor Pakistan.
  1. Telenor started its operation in Pakistan on March 15, 2005.
  2. The CEO of Telenor Pakistan is Michael Patrick Foley.
  3. It is the second largest telecom operator in the country.
  4. Telenor established its first call center in Karachi on January 28, 2005.
  5. Its the largest GPRS and EDGE service provider in the country.
  6. It has coverage in more than 3500 towns and cities of Pakistan.
  7. Back in July 2013, the Telenor subscribers exceeded 31 million. Currently the total subscribers are about 35.2 million.
  8. When Telenor was launched in Pakistan it was known for its innovation. But now the innovation thingy no longer exists and so Telenor is no more different than other companies. 
  9. About 5 years back the position which was offered for a salary of Rs. 150,000 is now being offered at Rs. 75,000.
  10. Few years back the workers were given a promotion after about each 90 days. But now there is no sign of promotion even after 3 years (talking about general case).
