Top 10 options for Pre Engineering Students

The students who score well in Fsc. face a difficult task of selecting the best university according to their merit, financial limits and interests. I did my Fsc. In 2013 and faced similar problems. Time by time, as I gave the entrance tests of different universities, I faced a very daunting task of selecting the best university according to my requirements and interests. The opinions from family, teachers, seniors, different face book pages
& different university lecturers gave me a detailed insight of the best available options. Just to depict my experience, following are the tests of different universities that I gave during the year (2013-14): 

NUST NET: (5 NETS, 2 in 2013 and 3 in 2014), PIEAS Entrance Test, ECAT (2013 & 2014), NED Pre-Admission test, GIKI Entrance test, NAT (2 times), UOL test, FAST test, SAT(LUMS).
Following are the best options available for pre-engineering Fsc students keeping in view the faculty, university infrastructure, university merit, Job priorities, financial limits & of course my experience: (Disregarding the HEC Rankings)

1. National University of Science and Technology (NUST)
Having one of the best Engineering Faculty of Pakistan, the only Engineering university of Pakistan among top 500 universities of the world, marvellous on-Campus environment, maximum opportunities for extracurricular activities and discipline is what makes NUST a dream university for many pre-engineering students. All the fields offered by NUST are the top notch engineering fields having great Job opportunities nation and worldwide which makes it the best option. 

2. University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore
A university which moulds the talents of many, most of which can’t even afford their living, into sheer brilliance. Undoubtedly you’ll find the cream of Punjab here at UET. For UETians, the probability of being selected in Government jobs in Pakistan is maximum.

3. Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIKI)

6. Mechanical Engineering from UET Taxila
The Mechanical Graduates from UET Taxila are one of the best because of their technical skills which are polished due to the great labs of UET Taxila and best internship opportunities available to them nearby to the University. Moreover, Mechanical Graduates from UET Taxila are preferred by HIT and many other companies. 

7. NED University of Engineering and Technology
A place of Dreams for almost all the Pre-Engineering Students from Sindh province and God knows how much pride it gives to the most of the parents from Sindh for their wards studying here. A great university which offers a wide variety of Bachelor programs with minimal fee structure. 

8. Aerospace Engineering from Institute of Space Technology
The Aerospace Engineering offered by IST is undoubtedly the best option for Aerospace lovers. The Aerospace Engineering offered by IST is recognized worldwide and its graduates are working worldwide in many international Space Programs.

9. Computer Science from FAST-NUCES
When it comes to Computer Sciences, No university in Pakistan can beat the excellence of FAST due to its experience in the field of IT. Moreover if it had been your childhood dream to work in Microsoft or many other best IT companies, FAST can provide you the best Platform in entire Pakistan to peruse your dream.

10. Electrical Engineering from LUMS
Although LUMS started its Electrical Engineering Program in 2011, but still in this short span it managed to build a great reputation in this field. Just have a glance at the Faculty Profile of Electrical Department of LUMS and you’ll know it all yourself. If you’re scared of the high tuition fee of LUMS, there is an NOP scholarship program which offers full and half tuition fee scholarships according to your financial limits.
